The first Symposium on Intelligent Diagnosis, Control, and New Energy was successfully held in Daqing from 22 to 23 April 2024. Organized by the Research Centre for Digitalization and Intelligent Diagnosis to New Energies at Northeast Petroleum University, the symposium brought together scholars and researchers to discuss intelligent diagnosis, control technologies, and new energy applications. Professor Qifa Xu from Hefei University of Technology, Professor Junsong Wang from Shenzhen Technology University, Professor Yaoyao He from Hefei University of Technology, Dr. Yingjie Wu from Northeast Electric Power University, Dr. Xiaoxu Liu from Shenzhen Technology University, Dr. Fangfang Zhang from Qilu University of Technology, and Dr. Hailang Jin from Tsinghua University delivered plenary and invited talks. The event also featured an active poster session with more than 40 posters. Poster awards were presented to outstanding contributors. Prof. Hongli Dong, President of Northeast Petroleum University, and Prof. Keyong Shao, Dean of the College of Informatics and Electrical Engineering, delivered welcome speeches.
